The average plastic toy holds a toddler's attention for four minutes. A screen holds it for four hours. Somewhere in that gap, a lot of parents made a bargain they did not mean to make.

“My daughter picked these up at 10 months and still plays with them at 2. The mirror one is her absolute favourite. The quality is outstanding, the wood is lovely. No chips after 14 months of regular bashing.”

“Bought these alongside some plastic sensory toys and there is simply no comparison. The blocks feel solid and beautiful. She went straight for the rattle ones and has not stopped.”

“A gift for my nephew's first birthday. He is now 18 months and his mum says he still plays with them every day. The mirror block is apparently endlessly fascinating. Worth every penny.”

So beautifully made. Eight blocks, every single one different. She picks one up, puts it down, picks up another. The way she just keeps going back to them says everything.

Younger babies go straight for the rattles. By 18 months it is the mirror block. At 3 they are stacking and comparing. The play changes as your child does. That is not luck. That is the design.

Questions

What if she does not engage with them?

At under 12 months, babies tend to mouth and bang. The rattle blocks usually catch attention first. Between 12 and 18 months, the mirror and bead blocks become favourites. If it does not work for your child within 30 days, full refund, no questions.

When will it arrive?

Standard UK delivery 3 to 5 working days. Express available at checkout. Most orders placed before midday dispatch the same day.

What age is this for?

From around 10 months to age 4. Younger babies explore by touch and sound. By 18 months they are actively comparing the blocks. By 3 they use them for stacking and sorting. The play changes as the child does.

Is @lippers01 paid by Jaques?

Why I run Jaques for the 231st year.

I am the seventh generation of my family to run this company. My great-great-great-great-grandfather started it in 1795. My children play with the same games I played with as a child. That is not a marketing line. That is just how it works when you make things properly.
