Jaques 225th - Lettuce Celebrate Play Food

November is all about our 225th Birthday!

This month you can enjoy some discounts, offers and fun facts about our 225 year-long heritage by signing up to our newsletter below!

Ice lollies are a staple of British Summertime, but did you know that they weren’t invented until 1904. By the time ice lollies were being made for the very first time, Jaques of London were 109 years of ages – having been established in 1795.

Lettuce Celebrate

In the hopes to celebrate our 225th Birthday, we’re taking stock of our wonderful play food range. Which, as luck would have it, includes our Let’s Pretend Ice Holiday Lolly set. These really do look good enough to eat and are a great way for children to explore the world of pretend play. Kids may decide to open their own lolly shop or ice cream van with these fantastic play food props.

There is no better way to engage young minds than with Imaginative play. Role play toys open up a world of make believe which is fantastic for their decision making and social skills. Pretend play helps kids to develop empathy for others, confidence to experiment and is a valuable way for kids to express themselves.

Let’s Get Cooking

If your little ones have a hankering for pretend cooking, our food range is top of the menu. These wooden food sets come with 100% FSC Approved wood and toxic-free paint. Some are cuttable and come with delightful wooden utensils for them to build up a whole host of faux food.

Each of our food toys have been lovingly designed by UK teacher to bring the best development benefits to your kids as they play.

Sign up to our emails and you will receive money off some of our most popular toys & games – now that’s a Birthday celebration to make you happ-pea!
