Delayed gratification is a term that refers to having patience and holding out for rewards. Although smaller rewards are received more quickly they often do not hold as much value, this is called instant gratification. The idea is to teach our kids that good things come to those who wait and those who try hard. 

The jar comes decorated with positive phrases to encourage your kids to keep going until they fill the jar with marbles!
