Jaques are committed to designing quality toys for all kids, from Balmoral to Bradford. As a brand with such heritage, we were fortunate enough to have had royal revelry in our roots, having been commissioned by the Royal Family to design a Staunton chess set for Queen Mary of Teck, in 1924, to go in her world-famous dolls house. 

Today, we still have interest in the Royal Family. The Princess of Wales ‘Shaping Us’ campaign shares a sentiment that rings true for us in its support of child development, so that children can grow up in a safe and joyful environment. But also, so that the world of the future can be a better place.

As King Charles III is crowned at his coronation on Saturday the 6th of May 2023, we’re reminded that Jaques of London has seen 9 Monarchs take the throne during our 227 years.  

King Charles III will be the 10th British monarch since 1795 – when Jaques of London was first established. So, as we start this new chapter, let us refresh our promise to emphasise the true power of play whilst providing you and yours a little ‘Luxury for Less’!
