Happy Birthday Jaques of London – 225 today!

Today is Jaques of London’s 225th Birthday!

To put that in perspective, this means we are older than Steam Trains, Big Ben AND Albert Einstein’s theory of gravity—if you can believe it!

Birthday Party

Established in 1795, we’ve been inventing toys and games for 225 years this month, and Jaques of London is still a family run company first.

As 8th generation toy makers, we’ve kept toy making well and truly in the family; passing down the business from Father to Son.

Today, our ethos is all about toys for Montessori Toys learning—we believe in the power of real play and the many benefits our toys and games have for child development. That's why you can filter our wooden toys by their educational benefit on our website.

Teaching the world to play

From our family to yours, we work to develop and deliver toys that are designed by teachers, made of fully sustainable wood and toxic-free paint.

So, we hope you’ll join us in commemorating this marvellous milestone for the Jaques of London history book.
