Clean Air Day Games

Take a breath—there’s nothing quite like a lung-full of fresh air. October 8th is National Clean Air Day, so here’s a Jaques, we’re navigating you through the very best outdoor games for kids.

The weather may be a bit hit and miss, but fun should still be at the top of your list!

First, stop on our outdoor excursion is GIANT TOYS—kids just go crazy for these. In fact, your kids will make them look so fun that no doubt grow-ups will want to join in too.

Garden Games

Junior Jumbos

A great family game is the Giant Dominoes Set. Set up on your garden table or, on a dry day, even on the lawn. No matter the time of year, this one is always a winner. Wrap up warm and you will still get all of the benefits of being outside whilst playing.

Try our Giant Jenga Tumble Towers to encourage your little ones to get moving. These are such a giggle; they will go down a treat at kids parties. It is over 3ft tall when it’s built—something your kids will love to accomplish.

Even if it’s just with family and siblings, collaborative play does kids wonders and is proven to help them develop social and cooperative skills.

Kids Playing

Active Antics

As well as it being all fun and games, your garden is a great space for getting in some physical exercise. Our sports games and toys are just the trick. Our Sports Day Set is great fun year-round. After all, we have both Summer and Winter Olympics! The set comes with 4 bright team colours, including everything you need for the Sports Day classics, like Egg & Spoon, Sack Race and 3-Legged Race!

Getting your family up and moving is great for their physical and mental health. Physical activities give you a dose of fresh oxygen in your body but also helps to keep the mind engaged in mindfulness play—a great to reduce anxiety. To that end, a family game of skittles is really great fun and gets the blood pumping. You can buy our children’s wooden games sets in either Fireman or Sailor design.

Classic collection

You might want to gift one of our traditional and vintage games that are a real keepsake. Beautifully designed to pass down through generations, these toys are also cherished by children—they are timeless for a reason!

Go for something like a Dominoes Giant Tower which gives a fun spin on this classic game, stacking the tiles vertically instead of laterally. It is a great space saver for compact patios or home gardens. You can even take these games with you on the go; they will be a great addition to any family holiday as a compact travel game.

If you can’t get down to the bowling alley something like our Target Ball is a really fun addition to get the whole family bowling together. You can create teams for your family and even design personalised team shirts to get in the spirit —a little bit of friendly competition is never a bad thing.
