Christmas Music for Kids

It's that time of year again - your little angels are singing Christmas song non-stop! Musical Toys are a great way to harness their love for music in an educational way. So here are some reasons to grab some musical toys in time for Christmas & a free Christmas music activity for kids to enjoy!

Merry Music

Music is a wonderful part of our Christmas celebrations. It would become tradition to sing carols after the Christmas meal. The first carol service is believed to have been held at Truro Cathedral, Cornwall, in 1880. It was organised by Edward White Benson, who later became the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Even today, people of all ages associate Christmas with the enjoyment of music and it's a wonderful thing for your kids to take part in too.

Here are some easy to play Christmas tunes for your tots to try!

You can download these here!

They vary in difficulty from the top down so that they can develop their understanding of sheet music as they go!

Elf-taught Tots

Learning a musical instrument from a young age has proven to develop the right side of the brain - this is why creative toys are so important to introduce from a young age. In fact, though the ability to produce and respond to music mainly develops the right side of the brain, processing pitch, tempo, and melody engages a number of areas in the left hemisphere!

Figures show that students who study music are more successful on standardised tests and are also likely to achieve better results at school. Not only are there bundles of education benefits awaiting your child if they start to engage with music, but it opens up opportunities for socialising and self-expression too.

So, this Christmas, give the best gift you can - the gift of music! Here are some of our favourite creative toys that your little music lovers will truly adore!
