Shut the box is such a simple game to understand and play, but can provide hours of fun as it very difficult to actually "shut the box". Success depends on the throw of a dice and the choices you then make. The game is short so younger children do not lose interest. We bought this for our children many years ago and have now bought it for our great nephews. They love it.
