Jaques were making Dominoes and game tiles as early as 1795. The game features in our early pattern books and it would appear that the sets were almost certainly made from ivory. Standard sets today include 28 pieces, each of which consists of a line dividing it into two squares and a number of spots. Standard Outdoor dominoes sets have ends ranging from zero to six spots.
