Established in 1795, Jaques London is one of a handful of companies over 200 years old still in the hands of the original owner’s family.
Jaques played an essential role in WWII when MI9 commissioned the companies skilled craftsmen to transform innocuous games into vital escape and evasion kits.
During WWII, maps, currency, even compasses concealed in Jaques games, aided some of the 35,000 POWs who escaped the Germans.
Jaques London might not exist today if not for the miraculous survival of the original Jaques pattern book, the blueprint for every game ever made by the company, when the London factory was destroyed in the Blitz.
Tumble Tower is a game of physical and mental skill for two or more players in which players remove blocks from the tower and replace them back on the top.The player who causes the tower to collapse in their turn is the loser. The Master Tumble Tower blocks are made from solid wood making for a superbly solid game. This smaller version of Jaques' hugely popular Tumble Tower game allows for a tower over 2ft tall. The Tumble Tower blocks themselves are 95 x 32 x 20mm.
