Snap Card game
Snap is Jaques of London history, in a lovely set of playing cards…and, so much more! You’ll love playing with these cards, as their lively illustrations have been the favourites of youths and parents for centuries. Jaques of London invented the game in the 1880s, and Sir John Tenniel created the fun and funny illustrations that grace the cards. Tenniel, of course, was the original artist for Lewis Carroll’s childhood tale, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, and chief illustrator for 'Punch' magazine.
Snap is played in a ‘snap’ – with fast movement and constant action of the players and the 56 laughable cards. The winner takes all – all of the cards, that is – and the race of a game continues. You’ll get hypnotised into playing for hours. The comfortable feel of the plastic-linen finish cards make using the cards an absolute pleasure.
Happy Families, equally famous and popular Jaques playing cards, are included with some Snap cards sets. Several come in ornately presented cases with solid brass furniture attachments and our world-known Jaques logo, enclosed in luscious Mahogany wood cases.
You’ll laugh out loud at the still popular and instantly recognisable faces of Mr Bun the Baker, Mr Grits the Grocer, and all the other jocular Snap caricatures. Both card games, like the endless Jaques games and sports collection, have had families enjoying cards together for years. Join in the entertainment, and get sets for different homes, friends and occasions.
