Outdoor Pick Up Sticks

Few games companies can claim to have been so influential in the world of indoor games as Jaques of London has been for the 215 years we have been manufacturing high quality sports and game equipment. In our two centuries of business, we have invented Ping Pong, ludo, snakes and ladders, tiddley winks, Happy Families and Snap - not to mention our production of the Staunton chessmen, which has become the most commonly used set of chess pieces at all levels. We have decided to use this expertise to bring some of our favourite indoor games outside with our range of oversized models. Jaques' Giant Pick Up Sticks include a set of 36" sticks, in a handy cotton drawstring bag. To start playing all but one of the sticks included are held with one hand above a flat surface and then dropped into a pile on to that surface.The players then take it in turns to try and remove the gaming sticks from the pile without disturbing any of the others.This can be done by lifting, pressing down on the tapered end of a stick, or flicking it out with the one remaining stick (known as the helper stick). If any of the sticks other than the one that a player is attempting to remove moves the turn ends.Every stick removed is worth a point, apart from the golden stick which is worth 3 points, and the player with the most points at the end of a game (once all the sticks are removed) is the winner.
