In the 1950's, John Solomon started playing Croquet while still at school. Within a short time he had become the World's best player. He was world champion for several decades, until he was well into his fifties, and continued playing the game socially well into retirement. Jaques' Solomon Mallet was designed by John Solomon himself and has been expertly crafted by Jaques' Master Craftsmen ever since.The mallet features a Lignum Vitae head fitted with solid brass rings to provide protection and help control long shots. The Mallet face is also scored to provide a more accurate hitting surface. The handle is made from Hickory and has a wind-on competition grip. Each mallet also bears John Solomon's signature. This superb mallet has been our top selling professional-grade mallet for nearly 50 years.
