I'm about 67 and very kean about my chess but i still have much more to learn about the history of the great game.

In the holidays I tend to always play with my best chess set. There are lots to look forward to! One of the most interesting books is the latest volume of John Watson’s ambitious project to explain and analyze all chess openings. Although the book was another manual it became more than just another manual.

Playing of the game
Each player is in control of one of the two sets normally coloured in white or black. The White generally moves first and then followed by the players alternate moves. Making a move is compulsory and is not legal for a player to "pass" a turn. Play is continued until a king is checkmated, a player resigns, or a draw is declared.
