Celebrities celebrate their TV shows with the glamour’s Californian sun. This week the stars celebrated at the NBC Universal Summer Press Day in Pasadena.

The Goring Hotel is celebrating its centenary this year and from Thursday 22 July to Thursday 26 August 2010 is offering us a truly English summer afternoon with croquet in their private garden and their superb afternoon tea, which I tried earlier this year.

If you've ever thought about playing croquet at Delaware Park, but for whatever reason have not quite gotten around to it, The Olmsted Conservancy and the Buffalo Croquet Club are hosting an open house to get people out playing the game. Buffalo has a long history when it comes to the games of croquet and lawn bowling, and The Parkside Lodge is 'living' proof of the games' past popularity.

Croquet is a tactical struggle with each player trying to manoeuvre both their own and opponent's balls to make points for their side, whilst restricting their opponent's chances of doing the same by careful positioning of the balls at the end of the turn.
