Jaques Of London who introduced the game of Croquet at the Great Exhibition in 1851 have a luxurious range of Croquet Mallets. At the very top of this beautifully handmade mallet range is the Solomon Croquet Mallet. Exquisitly made from Lignum Vitae which, because of its large oil conent has to be pegged (dried out) for four years. This Solomon Croquet Mallet is made with a 'roller' shaft,- grooves made in the shaft just above the mallet head to aid the Croquet ROLL shot. Made with a Lignum Vitae head, with solid brass rings protecting the scored faces, this Mallet is certainly suitable for playing on the top lawn, maybe in the garden at home!
