Supplied with every Jaques croquet set in Victorian times, and still included with all serious Jaques croquet sets today, the smasher mallet is a useful accessory for knocking in the hoops.  It is however, most important to water the sites before insertion.  Jaques croquet smasher mallets are turned from Prime English Ash, an excellent timber for mallets for many activities.
